When I open the window's context menu when the window is maximized, the Restore command is available, but not Size (Resize), and if I click on Restore, the window goes into the minimized state. When it opens maximized you can't drag a corner or edge because that's not an option in the maximized state. The problem is that when Firefox window opens minimized (I can tell the window is 'open' minimized because the Firefox button is visible on the Windows taskbar) there's no way to grab a corner because there's no window.
